Meet Our Founder, Sandra Shorter

Ever since I was a little girl I would find ways to make everyday experiences extraordinary (a little more special). I was madly, head over heals in love with this thing called LIFE ❤️ and I would look for ways to show people they were special, or just bring a smile to their face.

Looking back now, I can see that throughout my first career as a teacher, I worked very hard to make each and every day special and enjoyable for the kids. I wanted them to be as ignited by learning as I was.

When God closed that chapter of my life and allowed me to enter into this one, I knew the vision was the same – bring joy to the every day. But now I get to do it with cake!! (#thankYouJesus)

We LOVE celebrations! Big or small 🙂 And we long to be a part of them in some special way. That is why you’ll get personal, caring, and dedicated customer service from our team.We’ll check in to see how “the dress” shopping went, or how grandma liked her surprise trip to Florida, or even to see pics of your baby’s first birthday. We truly love being a part of the community WITH you.

We will always strive to bring you a good, wholesome piece of heaven! We know how important flavor, freshness, and quality are to you and we stand behind all our products to make sure it brings a little more joy to your celebration.

We offer custom cakes and cupcakes in so many flavor combinations, it’ll make your head spin! (Which, by the way, not many bakeries in Central Florida can do). AND we also use high quality ingredients like organic, free-range eggs and Callebaut cocoa to make sure our offerings are the best they can possibly be.

Over the last five years in business, it has brought us nothing but pure joy to see how happy our new friends and fans have been with a beautiful cake or their delicious custom-flavored cupcake, and our goal is to spread the joy even further.

So, why “The Naked Cupcake”?

People often ask me – why “The Naked Cupcake” (and you can imagine what they come up with!) but for me it was two-fold.

One – I wanted the cupcake to stand on it’s own. To be incredibly delicious and rich by its own right, simple and naked.

And two – I wanted to give people the opportunity to be co-creators in their perfect version of a cupcake. We each have our own likes and dislikes, so why limit it when it comes to cupcakes?!

I pray that our delicious creations can bring some joy into YOUR every day whenever you need it.
